Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that the contents of this list article be merged into 1994 Nepalese general election and 1999 Nepalese general election followed by deleting this article. The pairing of results across two different years doesn't make sense. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 02:42, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps a better solution is to split this article into Results of the 1994 Nepalese general election and Results of the 1999 Nepalese general election? Merging it into the general election articles would potentially make them quite long. This is a very random combination though. Cheers, Number 57 19:56, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Doing further research, it seems like List of MPs elected in the 1994 Nepalese legislative election and List of MPs elected in the 1999 Nepalese legislative election already exist. I don't know how useful the information on the runners-up are. It should be added (if not present) on the constituency pages. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:22, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. As Results of the 1999 Nepalese general election already seems to exist (although it seems to be constituency-level results only, and far from complete), perhaps the 1999 list could be merged there. I'm not fussed either way on the 1994 one. Cheers, Number 57 11:12, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The entire Winners and runner-ups in the legislative elections of Nepal 1994 and 1999 is just a reformatted copy of a now-archived Electoral commission page comparing the two. I suggest just linking the document for interested readers on the bottom of each page, and if someone is really keen that they can upload the original to Wikisource.
