[edit]I removed the section on a 'Descendant', because it bears no relevance to the 1st Earl of Caithness, and appears to be about a non-notable person anyway. See diff [1]. ::Supergolden:: 12:57, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Surname
[edit]For what it’s worth all of the documentation at the Rosslyn Chapel has William as Sir William St Clair and not Sinclair.
All of the listed family names associated with the chapel and family line are St Clair not Sinclair as listed here. 174.197.65.171 (talk) 09:51, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- The Rosslyn family used the spelling St. Clair and the family of Caithness used the spelling Sinclair. William Sinclair was first and foremost Earl of Caithness.QuintusPetillius (talk) 17:26, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
