The result of the move request was: Moved to William Clother (tennis) William Clothier (tennis) — Amakuru (talk) 20:55, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
William Clothier → William J. Clothier – The tennis player from over a hundred years ago was referenced as "William J." by The New York Times ([1][2]), his gravestone is inscribed "WILLIAM JACKSON CLOTHIER" and he is listed as "Bill" at International Tennis Hall of Fame. With this in mind, I would additionally support Bill Clothier as well as William Clothier (tennis) if consensus skews towards those forms. It also does not appear that his historical prominence exceeds that of two-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer William H. Clothier who was frequently billed as "William Clothier", such as in the credits of 1947's For You I Die. A disambiguation page which has as its main title header "William Clothier" would list two prominent men — William J. Clothier and William H. Clothier. — Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 02:21, 16 July 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. Calidum 19:27, 25 July 2020 (UTC)—Relisting. —usernamekiran (talk) 10:29, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
- I propose William Clother (tennis) as that appears to be his WP:COMMONNAME. Support moving and creating a disambig page.--Ortizesp (talk) 14:00, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

@Amakuru and Ortizesp: Why "Clother"? Every source spells it "Clothier"! --R'n'B (call me Russ) 00:03, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- It was a misspelling on my side. Should be Clothier, feel free to fix.@R'n'B:--Ortizesp (talk) 00:42, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Done --R'n'B (call me Russ) 02:08, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Ah, apologies guys, I also did not notice the typo. Thanks for sorting this, RnB, and I've also amended my close above so it's clear what the result was. Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 04:26, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
