Death date
[edit]There seems a school of thought that believes he died on 3 October, not 19 October, 1941. Any ideas about this? -- JackofOz (talk) 15:46, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- That school seems to be right. I haven't found absolute proof of a 3 October death, but I have found proof that 19 October was impossible, as his death was reported in TIME magazine 6 days earlier than this, on 13 October. The only other date in the literature is 3 October, so I've put that in, with a footnote about why 19 October won't do. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 04:55, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Third Reich
[edit]I'm troubled not just by the lack of citation in claiming Kienzl's support for Nazism but also by the suggestion under "Death" that his continued posthumous honors represents a whitewashing of his reputation. All statements need to be backed up, of course, but accusations of that kind even more so. AskohlerOpus111 (talk) 02:16, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
