Looks good

Infobox

  1. Maybe put Roman and Zhang as their own line? It could be misinterpreted that only Zhang worked on her equipment.
    1. Fixed

Concept and development

  1. Be sure to slip Roman Kenney's involvement in the visor design in somewhere.
    1. Done
  2. "Among them" used twice in the same sentence; split into two sentences or tweak to be less repetitive.
    1. Done

Design

  1. Does the Dark Horse Comics source state that it's a play on a French saying? Also, is it worth mentioning what the original phrase was?
    1. It does, but the saying is a bit long so may be out of place to say the whole thing.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 13:52, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances

  1. I think my big concern would be that the shorts use primary sources; are there any RSes that discuss Widowmaker having appeared in these shorts? I think it's probably more concerning than the comics, as the shorts are basically trailers.
    1. I mean we could, but summarizing the shorts themselves should have the same purpose as summarizing a television episode or game level if we're linking back to the actual upload, shouldn't it?

Gameplay

  1. "In Overwatch, Widowmaker is classified as a "Damage" class character, designed to provide a more offensive role in team compositions.[22] She was originally classified as a "Defense" class character before it and "Offense" class characters were combined into one class." I'm a touch confused, though that might be my fault. Is it the case that Defense and Offense characters all became Damage class characters?
    1. Clarified

Promotion and reception

  1. "Blizzard also released a 13.5" (34 cm) statue of the character,[35] and an unofficial 20" (51 cm) resin statue released by HummingBird Studio in 2022." This reads a little strangely. Did Blizzard release the HummingBird statue?
  2. "Gita Jackson of Kotaku noted that Blizzard Entertainment leaned hard into the femme fatale "fetish-y roots" aspect of her character, and while she approved noted fans were not always receptive to this particular aspect." What is a 'noted fan'?
    1. Fixed and fixed
  3. I feel as though the Polygon paragraph might be taking some inferences. To me, I read it, and I think that the text is implying that the alternate costumes were what caused Cass to say what they said in quotes, but reading the article, it's more talking generally about the core concept behind Widowmaker's design process. Also, the second part of that quote feels like it's meant to be the unreasonable perspective, as the first part of the quote is clearly what the author believes to be true. I'd recommend just dropping the latter part of the quote.
    1. Fixed?
