Posthumous live album
[edit]Is there really no better way to describe it in the lead than as “posthumous live”? It’s clear what is meant but I find that it reads strangely … unless of course it’s deliberately meant to be funny, it which case fine, please carry on. Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances → Live: Her Greatest Performances – Almost every source, even Billboard recognize the album as Live: Her Greatest Performances, and so does streaming platforms and charts. dxneo (talk) 23:58, 23 June 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose. It's obviously far more helpful for users to have her name in there. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:12, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- The guidelines are always so strict about following reliable sources. So now you just gonna go against them and the literally the original title? dxneo (talk) 13:46, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- If it was never referred to by this name I'd agree, but it clearly is. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:24, 26 June 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose, the full name seems to be both the real name and commonname per page sources and External links. And per Necrothesp. Randy Kryn (talk) 04:29, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose the album cover indicates Whitney Houston: Live: Her Greatest Performances -- 64.229.90.32 (talk) 05:19, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- This definitely does not count. There's no proof of this claim as artwork can be creative. dxneo (talk) 08:01, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- So now we shouldn't take evidence of the name from the publication? Whatever next? -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:32, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- What publications? Reliable sources? They all refer to it as Live:… And as for the cover art, we can argue that that's just her name on the cover art just like on most of her artworks. dxneo (talk) 10:13, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Her official website lists the album title as containing her full name, and most of the page sources use the full name. Randy Kryn (talk) 11:21, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Randy Kryn, have you tried accessing any of the given links on that site and see what you find? Fact remains, it is Live: Her Greatest Performances everywhere, whether it's the charts, streaming platforms or sources, you'll find the same the same thing. [Wiki] User preferences cannot go against RS. dxneo (talk) 11:53, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I've tried the links on many (some of the major ones are 404ed, etc. but many remain) and the full name is evident and applicable (so the claim that it is not used among the sources seems incorrect). Randy Kryn (talk) 12:12, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think you're telling the truth about the 404 error as I can access all the links, but it's okay y'all wanna go against RS. Keep in mind that the website is on about the U.S. release of the project. dxneo (talk) 12:30, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Did you try references three and four? I said "some of the major ones". It's hard typing this since having a nose as long as a telephone wire gets in the way. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:48, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- They are not major references, Cite highlighter script doesn't even recognize them. Without a doubt, Billboard is a major music ref. dxneo (talk) 13:39, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

What publications?
The album cover! -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:08, 2 July 2024 (UTC)- Necrothesp, like I said, we can argue that that's her name just like on any other Whitney album. On which part of the cover art does is say that's the title? dxneo (talk) 13:41, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Not even worth an answer. You've just got to look at it. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:45, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

- Okay Necrothesp and Randy Kryn, can you at least present few convincing release dates (or maybe one) where it was released as Whitney Houston Live:…? We cannot name an article based on your preferences and the cover art if it means going against reliable sources and how it was distributed globally. I am literally drained from defending this move. Honestly, you are definitely not making a convincing case and it seems like this discussion will most likely result in no consensus, which is the same as not moved Facepalm dxneo (talk) 14:05, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose. Someone using lime highlighter while facepalming should stop obsessing over this and emotionally draining themselves. The current title is correct per the official trailer. Spotify agrees. Amazon, too. Was this a film, too? For biographical articles, names are usually not omitted for the purposes of concision. Granted the album is not a bio, but I'm surprised the requested title isn't as ambiguous as "Her Greatest Hits". – wbm1058 (talk) 16:43, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose: The full title is used in these Billboard sources (1, 2, and 3) as well as in press releases (1 and 2), in this review from Slant Magazine (here), and in this Rolling Stone article (here). The sources provided by wbm1058 also show that the album is known by the full title. Aoba47 (talk) 16:58, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
