Logo and colours
[edit]While it is true, and verifiable, that the former St. Albert Steel have taken the Whitecourt Wolverines name, it has yet to be verified if they will be taking their junior "B" predecessor's current logo and colours. This is why I have not yet included either within the infobox. If this turns out to be the case, I will add these in once verifiable by a reliable source. Hwy43 (talk) 09:02, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed. And damn. I wasn't even aware that this relocation was in the works! Resolute 13:25, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- I must admit I'm shocked the speculation of the inevitable move didn't receive the same media coverage as the Thrashers move to Winnipeg! Hwy43 (talk) 05:41, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- It's been in the works for at least a month. I think they wanted to keep it a little more low profile after they failed to buy the Lloydminster franchise last year. Last year the extra press motivated the Bobcats' fanbase into saving the team at the last second after a deal with Whitecourt was already in place. DMighton (talk) 09:12, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- The junior A team logo has been unveiled at the team's website. It is the same design as the junior B team logo but with red replacing the yellow. I invite someone to add the logo if they know how. Note that the old logo should remain on WP as it is in use at Whitecourt Wolverines (2008–2012). Cheers, Hwy43 (talk) 04:30, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
