This article seems to contradict itself. First it says the phenomenon is common on the great lakes, than it says it might be a myth, then it says it's a tropical and subtropical phenomenon. teucer 17:01, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Barometric Pressure?
[edit]Just saw a piece on TV about it being caused by rolling disturbance radiating out from a high-pressure area for tens of miles. Suspicious as to the validity of this and question whether it isn't rather a low-pressure that causes it as in most storms. Has the barometric pressure ever been cited during a white squall?Longinus876 (talk) 09:07, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
