On the figure, the lenght "a" shouldn't be taked into account because is a free surface in contact only with the atmosphere. The wetted perimeter is the perimeter of channel or pipe in contact with the fluid.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.121.40.109 (talkcontribs) 2006-09-28T11:34:07
