Speaking as the geek who originated this article, I >>LOVE<< the improvements that have been made to it by others. Huzzah! I did, however, make one change: each circle-w was divided into TEN elements, not nine. As this photo shows, the enclosing circle was split into two halves, upper and lower. With the three dots, the four strokes of the W, and the bar below, this makes ten elements in each instance of the logo. PurpleChez (talk) 14:50, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

I have clarified the paragraph describing the number of elements in the sign. It began as the nine elements of the "circle w" logo, and was later increased to ten by dividing the circle in half. A citation has been added that documents the original configuration, complementing the press release Westinghouse issued in 1967. Antarctic96 (talk) 08:09, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Scale Replica

Does anyone know anything about laser cutting of thin steel or acrlyic parts? i am trying to make a replica of the sign (on the scale of about 2 inches by 12 inches. I have developed hardware that can control all 90 segments using LED's or EL wire.
