On 24 February 2024, it was proposed that this article be moved from Weber to Weber (surname). The result of the discussion was moved.

Even while adding Amy Weber to the list, I noticed how long it is. There ought to be some limiting criteria (such as notability?) for inclusion here, but I don't have the time or motivation to cull these single-handedly.

Rename page to "Weber (surname)"?

According to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Pageviews_Analysis (specifically here), the page Weber (unit) is much more popular than this page. Should we, therefore, rename this page so that a person searching for "Weber" will be redirected to either the disambiguation page or the page for the unit?--AlphaMikeOmega (talk) 06:33, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Move Weber to Weber (surname) and Weber (disambiguation) to Weber. I buy that the surname isn't the primary topic but Max Weber has strong claims to long-term significance, i.e., is the subject of almost all results for weber on Google Scholar. Support with Hameltion's addition, i.e. a multimove leaving the dab at the base name. Most references to "Weber" are to one person of that name rather than the surname itself.
