- It is listed as critically endangered by the IUCN but is likely to be extinct since it has not been observed since the 70s. Joelito (talk) 23:26, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- The Possibility of extinction needs to be mentioned in a reliable source, Until then, I have removed all past tense references of this nature. QuAzGaA 21:07, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
- It seems to have been doing just fine in acoustic surveys in 1983 when "Characteristics of an Acoustic Community: Puerto Rican Frogs of the Genus Eleutherodactylus" (Drewry and Rand), Copeia v. 1983, no 4 was published. 4.53.4.66 (talk) 17:24, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
