Cleanup

[edit]

I am undertaking a cleanup of the recent edits by Kunhistory.

In doing so, I have removed the paragraph about the temple attracting many Chinese and Chinese-Cambodians to worship because:

  1. the paragraph didn't make much sense -- I couldn't tell from reading whether the worshipers were coming to Wat Phnom or to another temple where the Budai statue had been moved;
  2. the material was sourced page 115 of the book Contemporary Cambodian: Grammatical Sketch,[1] a language learning guide published by the US Foreign Service Institute that does not once mention Wat Phnom, and whose page 115 is simply the bibliography used for sources within the book (i.e. this citation has nothing to do with the material cited).

I urge Kunhistory to discuss this matter before restoring this content.
