Inaccuracies
[edit]I removed the sentence "There were also War Democrats in New York Boston and Detroit." The article implies that there were other War Democrats in the Union; I didn't mean to give the impression in my edit summary that I had evidence that they existed in Detroit.--DDerby-(talk) 09:14, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
Grant a War Democrat? He was essentially apolitical and without Party affiliation until he became a candidate in 1868 (as a Republican.) Doug O'Connell (talk) 16:07, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
