The timeframe gives 1612 as the year of Susenyo's conversion, and 1617 as year for a first campaign to suppress a anti-Catholic rebellion, and 1621 him forbidding the teaching of Ethiopian orthodoxy. In literature I only see his public conversion in 1622, so there was hardly a reason for anti-Catholic measures and rebellion before that date.
