Criterion 1

[edit]

It is reasonably well written.

a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):

Lead

[edit]
  • "Wake Up in the Sky" is a song that was recorded by American rappers Gucci Mane and Kodak Black, and American singer Bruno Mars. It was released on September 14, 2018, by Guwop and Atlantic Records, and is the third single release from Mane's thirteenth studio album Evil Genius (2018). Does not read well. I would suggest: "Wake Up in the Sky" is a song by American rappers Gucci Mane and Kodak Black, and American singer Bruno Mars. It was released by Guwop and Atlantic Records as the third single from Mane's thirteenth studio album Evil Genius on September 14, 2018.
  • The song was co-written by Mane, Mars, Black, Chance Youngblood, Dwan Avery and Jeff LaCroix, and produced by Mars and the latter three under their aliases Tarentino, DY and Tre Pounds. Long run-on sentence needs to be split and "co-written" should be "written" as we don't know that they wrote the song altogether (they most likely wrote their parts separately). According to the Tidal source Mars did not write the song. Dieuson Octave is also credited as a writer but not mentioned.
Peter Gene Hernandez is Bruno Mars. He is mentioned that's Kodak Black. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:53, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • On September 14, 2018, "Wake Up In The Sky" was released via Guwop and Atlantic Records to digital download and streaming services as the third single from the album.[10][11] -> Guwop and Atlantic Records released "Wake Up in the Sky" for digital download and streaming on September 14, 2018, as the album's third single.
This is not on the lead?? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:53, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's in the Background and release section, not sure how my comment ended up here. Please fix. CoolMarc 18:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Wake Up in the Sky" is a hip hop, pop and soul song that is "feel-good party anthem" and an "ode to the high life". Needs to be paraphrased.
The issue still remains and reads worse now. Either you need to find a source that better explains the lyrics or try paraphrase this. "feel-good party anthem" and "ode to the high life" are not what we want to see on an encyclopedia especially on a GA. CoolMarc 18:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Music critics gave "Wake Up in the Sky" mostly positive reviews, calling it a "banger" and noting Mane's crooning Keep it simple and say it "received mostly positive reviews from music critics". "Banger" is stan-twitter language not relevant to an encyclopedia or a valid critic view. What exactly did they note about Mane's crooning?
It said it was a banger; "C. Vernon Coleman II of XXL called the song a "banger"; "Josiah Hughes from Exclaim! called the track a "luscious banger""
Do you think somebody calling it a "banger" is beneficial to an encyclopedia article? Like I said, it is stan twitter lingo that writers use as a synonym for "song" to get page clicks. It's not a valid criticism. You could say something a lot better here. Have a look at the critical reception again. CoolMarc 18:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • three-times platinum -> triple platinum
  • Despite only peaking at number 46 on the Australian Singles Charts it was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). I don't think this is relevant to the lead. It's very easy to go platinum in Australia. I would rather include the more notable The track also charted in the top 40 in Canada, Hungary, Norway and Slovakia.
 Not doneit is relevant enough
It's WP:UNDUE. CoolMarc 18:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • ostentatious suits and jewelry. Ostentatious means fake/pretentious so you are saying that they are being fake/pretentious in the music video?
I didn't said anything, read the music video section. The rest that doesn't have a comment was fixed. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:53, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
"ostentatious" is not the word to use here as I explained above. CoolMarc 18:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Addressed the issues here. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:59, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, it's fine now. I copy-edited this and paraphrased the bit about the lyrics. Please check if you are happy with it. CoolMarc 20:16, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Background and release

[edit]
  • On June, 2018, Gucci Mane told Billboard he was trying to make his album Evil Genius (2018) one of his best. To do so, he was working on the songs, collaborating with the best producers. Unnecessary, obvious details.
On June, 2018, Gucci Mane told Billboard he was trying to give the fans something that makes them believe he still enjoys making music.[1] needs to be written better. Read it aloud "give the fans something", whose fans? What is something? CoolMarc 18:56, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • In late August 2018, Mars posted on his Instagram feed a photograph of himself standing next to Black, giving the first clue of a partnership.[4] -> Mars first teased the collaboration by sharing an image of himself and Black on Instagram in late August 2018.
  • On Instagram on September 13, 2018, Mane announced the release of the collaboration at midnigth the following day, and showed the cover art. I'm confused, did he announce the release and share the cover art on September 13 or midnight the following day? Please clarify.
This still is not clarified, and the grammar is very poor and spelling errors/typos. CoolMarc 18:56, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The cover features an image of an airplane window from which an ice-cream-cone-shaped cloud can be seen.[5][7] -> The cover art is an airplane window view of an ice cream cone-shaped cloud.
  • "Wake Up In The Sky" was written by Mane, Mars, Black, Tarentino, DY and Tre Pounds, and produced by Mars and the latter three.[8] The track was mixed by Serban Ghenea at MixStar Studios, Virginia Beach, Virginia.[9] Zigzagging between background and release now. This belongs with background details in the first paragraph. Please see my comment in "Lead" regarding the writing credits. Perhaps split the long writing credit list and write the producer credits in a separate sentence, because "the latter three" makes for complicated reading.
This is not a long credit list, can you explain how it is complicated to read?
You read a list of 6 names and then get to "latter three", so now the reader has to go back to the start of the sentence and start counting the names they just read. CoolMarc 18:56, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You can't go back and read them? Are you serious? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have the time for it. CoolMarc 20:37, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I did everything else. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:39, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Please check again. CoolMarc 18:56, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just did. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, I just read the source for the first sentence and would suggest for accuracy that you write: In June 2018, Gucci Mane told Billboard that he worked with who he considered the best producers for Evil Genius to prove to his fans that he is "still passionate about the music". It's needed to clarify that he is referring to the album and I don't think "make them believe he still enjoys creating music." is what he is trying to say here.CoolMarc 20:37, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Composition

[edit]
  • It has been described as a mid-tempo, "feel-good anthem in a hazy-like way" with a romantic touch.[14][15][16] Described by who? "Feel-good anthem in a hazy-like way with a romantic touch" needs to be paraphrased better.
  • The artists' vocal ranges run from the low note G4 to the high note D6.[18] -> The artists' vocal range spans from G4 to D6.
  • The single includes Gucci Mane's ad libs above the instruments and a "silky" and "lush" R&B chorus, which is performed by Bruno Mars Use "track" or "song" here as we are not talking about the single release. Does Mane only perform ad-libs on the songs? Or is this referring to the chorus? Sentence needs to be clarified and WP:FLOWERY words like "silky" and "lush" removed.
  • soaring vocals" singing a "skyscraping" hook "soaring" and "skyscraping" either need to be paraphrased or removed. WP:FLOWERY words gushing over Mars vocal performance on the song is not encyclopedic.
Any ideas for instead of skyscrap? I mean this is the crtics opinion, not mine.
  • Crooning has been associated with "lyrical odes to hallowed crooners" similar to those of "Slow Jamz" (2003) by Twista featuring Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.[22] I don't think you interpreted the source right here. The reviewer is saying Mane's references to crooners like Nat Cole King and Barry White recall "Slow Jamz" by Twista and Kanye West.
  • Lyrically, "Wake Up in the Sky" is a "feel-good party anthem", an "ode to the high life" and a "transcendental" single because it describes Mane's changes.[19][23][24] The rap verses have been considered "boastful" and "sensual".[14][20] Unattributed WP:QUOTEFARM. Please try paraphrase to encyclopedic language.
I can't change high life as they can be talking about drugs or alchool or even both
I address the issues and left comments. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:00, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Critical reception

[edit]
  • Please cut-out the use of the word "banger" in this section, it is stan-twitter lingo and not a valid critical opinion on a song.
  • C. Vernon Coleman II of XXL "smoothed-out joint ... that has a spacey feel". Gucci Mane is in "flex mode on his verse". He concluded; "this one is definitely for the young, fly and flashy".[25] First two quotes are more relevant to composition and could be paraphrased for something there. The last quote is a description of the lyrics, not a positive or negative critical view of the song.
  • and added, "feels like a Rick Ross song. -> and said it "feels like a Rick Ross song"
  • Brody Kenny of Consequence of Sound considered "Wake Up in the Sky" one of the best tracks on Evil Genius (2018). Kenny complemented Mane's singing, calling it "unexpectedly delightful".[22] "considered" was used in the previous sentence, maybe try "regarded". And "complemented" is not the correct term here, it's "complimented". Unlink Evil Genius and remove the "(2018)" as this has been established several times already.
  • The Stereogum review is mixed. I would suggest rewording to Tom Breihan of Stereogum viewed the song as "insubstantial" and "a forced crossover-hit attempt", but deemed it "perfectly catchy".
  • AXS are a ticket-merchant site with WP:USERG contributed content, do we have any credentials that this reviewer is a professional journalist and music critic?
Seems more than the relugar user see. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:50, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, I'm not convinced. His bio says he's written for Medium, AXS, FanSided, Ranker, InfoWars, Bam Smack Pow, Guilty Eats - none of which are reputable music critic sources. In fact all of them are blogs or user contributed sites. CoolMarc 22:31, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
On his biography "Award-Winning Writer, Floridian, Music Reviewer and Journalist, Sports Columnist, Political and Social Columnist." 1, he also got a mention from fox news 2. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:47, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, he wrote that description himself lol. What award did he win? CoolMarc 23:24, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
He wrote for USA Today [1]
I'm not sure why you are so adamant on keep this poor source, when his review is not even substantial anyway, "Gantt said one could listen to the song "while chilling in bed, thinking about life in general"" ... I mean really? Is this what we arguing to keep? CoolMarc 11:13, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps consider replacing it with the more reliable source: Trey Alston of Highsnobiety regarded it as a "glitzy, if brief detour" from the "unoriginal" production of the rest of the album. CoolMarc 12:41, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't that source a blog? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:40, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, no they are an online magazine credible for hip hop reviews, you can see even in the prose of their review that it's high quality journalism. CoolMarc 14:46, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Who deemed them credible? They sell clothes. That's not the only thing Gantt said. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:57, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, It doesn't matter that they sell clothes, Highsnobiety are well known for their hip hop reviews and coverage and the writer of that review has written for reputable music sources about hip hop music like Pitchfork, Complex, VIBE Magazine, XXL. Gantt is some random who writes on WP:USERG blogs. CoolMarc 15:13, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:26, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Jessica McKinney writing for Vibe said the track was a "hit".[5] Not a valid critical opinion. Please remove.
Why not? She says "Guwop is back with another hit."MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:50, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
She's referring to the song's commercial performance and not what she thinks of the song itself. CoolMarc 22:29, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
She can't be, as the article is from September 14, 2018, the song didn't even debut on the charts back then, it had one full week to go. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:47, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, it doesn't matter. Do you really think her calling the song "a hit" constitutes to a proper music review? And that this is notable? CoolMarc 23:23, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nah. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:48, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Pitchfork's Alphonse Pierre said Mars slides and steals the spotlight from Mane and Black with his hook, and that Mane "sounds rejuvenated" and Black "seems glad to be free".[12] Close paraphrasing, the bit about Black is unnecessary. I would suggest rewirting to: Pitchfork's Alphonse Pierre wrote that Mane "sounds rejuvenated as he ad-libs over the bright instrumental", and Mars "effortlessly, [steals] the spotlight with a silky hook".
  • Evan Rytlewski, writing for the same publication, praised the collaboration for not playing safe, unlike the rest of the album.[13] He didn't really praise the song. He called it "prim" and said that it's the only track on Evil Genius that eschews "of-the-moment trap".
  • Neil Z. Yeung of AllMusic considered the single to be a "smooth break" from the "menacing production", putting "seduction into the mix".[27] could be clarified better to Neil Z. Yeung from AllMusic descibed it as a "smooth break" on the album that adds "some seduction into the mix".
  • Jordan Bassett from NME said the recording is Mane's "most commercial", lauding his "undeniable euphoria". "undeniable" is not quoted from the source but paraphrased. There is a lot more critical opinion in this source as well to expand on... Maybe try something like Writing for NME, Jordan Bassett felt the song "shimmers with a lush R&B hook" and commented, "This is the most commercial Gucci's ever sounded, but could anyone deny him his euphoria?" Unless you could paraphrase it better?
  • In a mixed review, Randall Colburn writing for Consequence of Sound complemented Mars' vocals and his "arena grandeur" but criticized Black's "sneering flow".[1] not really a positive or negative review here, but a description of their vocals and rapping. "Sneering" is not a criticism in rap.
  • In a negative review, HipHopDX's Daniel Spielberger said the collaboration was a great concept that was "destined for crossover appeal" but does not create a proper "groove" and never reaches "the joyful, soulful vibe of an all-time classic".[28] Rather keep it concise and stick to the point -> In a negative review, HipHopDX's Daniel Spielberger wrote that the track "never comes into a groove and fails to achieve the joyful, soulful vibe of an all-time classic."
I left some coments and I'm changing some stuff to the composition section. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:50, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial performance

[edit]
  • No need to mention Billboard Hot 100 in every sentence.
  • When did it debut on the Hot 100?
  • Previous to the release of the music video the song had peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.[21] The source just says it peaked at number 18 when it peaked at 11 in the next sentence, I'm not sure what you are trying to say here? Please clarify.
  • and matched Mane's high peak as a lead artist of "I Get the Bag" (2017) featuring Migos. -> tying 2017's "I Get the Bag" as Manes's highest-charting single as a lead artist in the US.
  • How many weeks did it spend on the Hot 100?
  • Wake Up in the Sky" remained at the top of the Rhythmic Songs chart for four non-consecutive weeks, being the rapper's third, Mars' tenth and Black's first number one in the list. -> "Wake Up in the Sky" became Mane's third, Mars' tenth and Black's first number one on the US Rhythmic where it topped the chart for four non-consecutive weeks.
  • It has been certified three times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). -> In April 2019, it was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for track-equivalent sales of three million units.
  • The single entered at its peak of number 49 in Portugal; it also peaked at number 49 in Ireland, where it spent seven weeks on the chart.[38][39] The semi-colon does not work here, Portugal and Ireland are not related.
  • There is a lot of "It peaked. It peaked" in this second half of the section which makes for boring reading. Maybe mention one concise sentence saying it charted in the top 40 in XYZ countries, and peaked at number 65 on the UK Singles Chart.
  • How long was it present on the UK Singles Chart?
I added the portuguese it spent more weeks on that chart. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:51, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Despite only spending one week in the Australian charts, where it peaked at number 49, the song was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).[43][44] -> In Australia, the song only bowed at number 49 on the ARIA Singles Chart, but was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for track-equivalent sales of 70,000 units.
I adressed all the issues with minor fixes and left one comment. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:51, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Music video

[edit]
  • The song's accompanying music video, which premiered on October 31, 2018, was directed by Florent Dechard and Bruno Mars. No need to link a common term like a music video. I suggest the following for better flow: The accompanying music video was directed by Florent Dechard and Mars, and premiered on October 31, 2018.
  • Where did the music video premiere?
Not mentioned anywhere. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 20:58, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The video shows Gucci Mane, Mars and Kodak Black wearing glittering 1970s-style suits along with ostentatious jewelry.[45][24] No need for Gucci Mane and Kodak Black's full names, remove POV word "ostentatious".
  • The video begins with Mane wearing a long, white, fur coat on top of a white suit and jewels.[23] He sits in front of a mirror as waits to enter a stage with Mars and Black.[46] -> The video opens with Mane sitting in front of a mirror in a dressing room, wearing jewelry and a long, white fur coat over a white suit. He then joins Mars and Black to perform on a stage.
  • Clips of them drinking champagne and celebrating the good life with women "dressed for the occasion" are intercut with clips of them singing the song.[45][47 This happens near the end of the video so should come later in the paragraph, and "the good life" and "dressed for the occasion" are not encyclopedic.
  • The artists perform the song dressed as a 1980s soul music trio with a jazzy theater curtain in the background and vintage microphones. -> The artists perform with vintage microphones as a 1980s soul music trio in front of the stage's jazz theater curtain.
  • They alternate front-man roles as they sing and use coordinated moves to keep up with the mood of the song. remove "to keep up with the mood of the song", change "moves" to more encyclopedic "movements"
  • Black executes his "signature "Zeze" (2018) dance move".[2] replace "executes" with "performs". See MOS:QWQ for quoation marks within quotation marks, remove (2018) as that is not quoted in the source or necessary.
  • Billboard's Michael Saponara complemented the music video, describing it as "stunning vintage-y".[2] -> Billboard's Michael Saponara found the music video "stunning". vintage-y is not needed as this has already been established in previous paragraph.
  • Mike Wass of Idolator compared the video to those of "Finesse" (2018) and called it "super suave". those what of Finesse? State also that "Finesse" is a music video by Mars.
  • Complex's Trace William Cowen commented, "it's all flash and croons".[49] nothing of substance here.
What do you want me to say here? Its Cowen said.
  • Most critics noted the glittering clothes and jewelry the artists wear.[45] What did they note about them? WP:NOTED
Some said they were luxorious...and so on and so forth. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 20:58, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The video on YouTube reached 300 million views in January 2020. -> The video has received over 300 million views on YouTube. Add source.

Addressed everything and I left comments. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 20:58, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Credits and personnel

[edit]

Writing credits already mentioned and sourced in the Background section. Tidal does not say who produced the song. CoolMarc 17:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 20:10, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this is even needed at this point with only writing and production credits (and 1 mixer), all of which already are in the lead and background prose and Infobox. CoolMarc 21:45, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Charts

[edit]

All good. CoolMarc 17:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A table is not needed for 1 release date and when already mentioned in prose. CoolMarc 17:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Criterion 2

[edit]

It is factually accurate and verifiable.

a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
References

I will be checking all the references and each comment below is under their number as they existed at this time. The order in the article may change from this numbering as refs get moved, added or deleted. Newspapers, journals and other works are generally italicised but publishers are not. Every effort should be made to identify author(s).CoolMarc 17:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ref 3 - 2016 Pitckfork source does not say that it was their second collaboration.

*Ref 8 - As previously mentioned, Tidal does not provide the production credits. And the songwriting credits in the article don't match those on Tidal.

  • Ref 9 - Source does not say it was mixed at MixStar Studios, Virginia Beach, Virginia
  • Ref 10 - takes me to a source about the song "BiPolar" and does not verify this as the album's third single. Please use the Vibe source to verify this.
"latest single off Guwop's 13th studio album Evil Genius, following "Solitaire," "I'm Not Goin'," and "Wake Up in the Sky"" → 1, 2, and 3. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:18, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ref 12 - overlink of Pitchfork
  • Ref 14 - source does not say "romantic touch", a misinterpretation of "romanticism that pervades the song"
  • Ref 15 - AXS a ticket merchant site with WP:USERG contributed content, please provide the writers credentials as a qualified music journalist if you believe this source is reliable.
They are above. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:18, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Criterion 3

[edit]

It is broad in its coverage.

a (major aspects): b (focused):

Coverage is good, I'm assuming they have never performed the song live and the artists/producers haven't explained how the song was made or what the lyrics are about? CoolMarc 17:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, they have not, I can't speak for their individual tours, but I didn't find any informaton. They have not spoken about any of that, perhaps in the future they will. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:56, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, I see a lot of sources mentioning that this was the first song Black recorded after being released from prison in August 2018 for a number of felony charges. I'm not too familiar with these artists and wanted to hear if from you if this is worth including? CoolMarc 11:45, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Coolmarc: I'm only familiar with Mars' work not Mane or Black's discography. The only reason I didn't included was Wikipedia:Handling trivia, but since he mentiones it in the lyrics, on the other hand they do that all the time. One of the sources makes that connection between his lyrics and getting out of jail, maybe on that case worth including? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:49, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, I think it's worth a mention if you do. CoolMarc 15:17, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I added. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:27, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Criterion 5

[edit]

It is stable.

No edit wars, etc.: CoolMarc 18:52, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Criterion 6

[edit]

It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.

a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  • I believe 300x300 and png format is preferred for single cover art, and the image summary should use Template:Non-free use rationale album cover.
  • Change cover art alt to An airplane window view of an ice cream cone-shaped cloud. The title "Wake Up in the Sky" appears above in white font and "Guwop x Mars x Kodak" below.
  • Music sample caption has grammar issues and could use a better caption to warrant its use on the article.
I fixed it. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:41, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Overall

[edit]

Overall:

Pass/Fail:

Good job, I'm putting this on hold for 7 days (or more if you need me to). CoolMarc 17:53, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MarioSoulTruthFan: I'm going to see if I can help you out with the Composition section tomorrow morning before work. Maybe you can try address my concerns for Critical reception, the References and fix the cover art size and format in the mean time, then this could possibly pass before the end of the GA drive. CoolMarc 21:43, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Coolmarc: the drive ends in May, I believe we got time. I have no idea how to change the formart. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 21:57, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, I will try help with that tomorrow. I can't believe I'm still awake at 1 AM. CoolMarc 23:27, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Coolmarc: Please let me know what has yet to be fixed. Regards, MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:40, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Mario, we are almost done here, please see my one comment about Credits and personnel, I think the section is redundant with only writing and production credits (and 1 mixer) already mentioned in th infobox, lead and background sections. Unless you have the full credits and album booklet somewhere? CoolMarc 16:44, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The album was never released in phisical format so that's all I have. But most songs have said section even if it only has songwriters and vocals. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:59, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, in that case just sort out the WP:OVERLINK in the section then we're good to go. CoolMarc 17:19, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Coolmarc:You lost me...in what section? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:32, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, credits and personnel section. CoolMarc 17:34, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Coolmarc:Oh you mean the names, sure. Should I change the names in the lead and background to the ones in the credits like in the infobox? For instance "The song was written by Peter Hernandez instead of Mars ad so on". MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:36, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, no I mean just unlink Mars, Black and Mane in the Personnel section at the end of the article. Everything else is fine. CoolMarc 17:39, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
 Done MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:46, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MarioSoulTruthFan, passing. Well done! CoolMarc 18:37, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
