The modern rock format didn't appear on 107.1 until 1993 - not 1991, as this article claims. However, the call letters of 107.1 had been WAQZ since 1991. The WAQZ call letters accompanied a satellite top 40 format that the station carried through most of 1991 and a hard rock format it had in 1992 and early 1993.
