Geoff, its Stuart Jones here - the copyright issue notwitstanding, there is a concern amongst the editors about the nature of the content in that it seems too much like an advertisement for the event rather than an encyclopaedic entry. There is information about WINGS in general at Scouting in Royal Berkshire. Cheers, Stuart - Horus Kol Talk 10:01, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have answered the immediate question regarding copyright which was the stated reason for deletion. The continual development that of an ideal encylcopaedic entry was inhibited by the deletion. WINGS is a major international event for members of both Girl Guiding and Scouting and deserves an specific entry.

The section in the Royal Berkshire article allows development, and if the section grows to sufficient length, then an article on WINGS can be created from that section. This is actually the preferred method, as a WINGS article that is not sufficiently developed at the start will find itself being put up for deletion by Wikipedia (not necessarily the Scouting WikiProject). In the meantime, I will create a WINGS article that redirects to the information in the Royal Berskhire article. Horus Kol Talk 21:00, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
