Who actually sang the original theme?

That is, the international English version. The infobox currently states "Sabrina Salerno", but that seems dubious as:

  1. The name on the soundtrack is simply stated as "Sabrina", and there is no picture or anything else that could confirm who specifically is being referred to by that name
  2. The singer very obviously has an American accent (as do the backing vocalists), which as far as I'm aware is not the case for the person currently listed in the infobox

In fact, based on these two points I highly suspect this is a rumor that started because of the unreleased demo of the song (which apparently used to be on some official website connected to the show, but is now floating around the Internet), where the singer does have an Italian-sounding accent. I have restored this discussion section as due to my own actions it was archived very quickly, and this page is hardly used as it is.
Note that the singer is now mentioned in the article as simply "Sabrina" per the available sources. But it is no less important to definitively determine to whom that actually refers (if it is even correct User:Modernponderer|Modernponderer]] User talk:Modernponderertalk] 10:55September 2018 UTC

The two American theme song variants

[edit]

User:Ry10, I think there is some confusion here. The cited source clearly shows the promotional CD with the demo recording came out first, in 2005, and it lists Chelsea Somma as the singer. The extended version was released on the soundtrack album, which came out in 2007, and had Marion Ravn as vocalist.

I think you may be comparing the full version to what you hear in the first half of the first season, but the problem – besides it being subjective – is that the version on the promo CD also sounds like that, so we could not use that to disambiguate even in theory.
