Saw these guys yesterday, at Brielpoort in Deinze, Belgium. They played one song of an upcoming album (no, not "A Warrior's Call"), and Michael said it was coming out around April 2010. Can't seem to find any sources, so take this how you will... 193.190.253.147 (talk) 01:20, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- They released the title of the album, "Beyond Hell/Above Heaven". I created a page for it and it is now nominated for deletion. Contribute what you can for all Volbeat related articles. I would like to try and make Volbeat's page a very well organized and informative page. Volbeatfan (talk) 00:01, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- The page is back up with a release date for September 10, 2010. --Volbeatfan (talk) 15:26, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
New page for Larsen. Anyone with more information on him and sources please add! Volbeatfan (talk) 23:49, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Merge members into this article
[edit]I suggested that List of Volbeat members either be deleted or be merged into this article. Someone else formalized the merge request. There isn't anything sourced in the other article and so I'm not sure what can be merged here. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:38, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- I verified that all information present in List of Volbeat members was also present here and then turned List of Volbeat members into a redirect. ~Kvng (talk) 13:52, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
7th Studio Album
[edit]With the Summer tour announcement this morning, I added a section for the upcoming album.
The update was removed with the comment "if the album does not have a name, it does not need a section."
but this flies in the face of other bands:
Tool(section has existed for years): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tool_(band)#Fifth_studio_album_(2008%E2%80%93present)
Slipknot(Particularly relevant due to the upcoming Tour w/Volbeat): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slipknot_(band)#Fourth_hiatus_and_upcoming_sixth_studio_album_(2017%E2%80%93present)
Alter Bridge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alter_Bridge#2019%E2%80%93present:_Upcoming_sixth_studio_album
Adele: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adele#2018%E2%80%93present:_Upcoming_fourth_album
Rammstein: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rammstein#Upcoming_seventh_studio_album_(2017%E2%80%93present) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.21.163.10 (talk) 22:30, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- Just because other articles have crap doesn't mean that this one should. I'll fix those now as well so you have less to complain about. Meanwhile, you might want to read WP:NOTNEWS. In short, not everything that a notable subject does is notable, and "hey, we're going to release a new album" isn't notable if that's all that can be said about it. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:39, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- It's not complaining, it me pointing out inconsistency, since other bands had it, i figured it was time Volbeat did as well, since they have a new album coming this year and the tour in support of that album has been announced.
- no worries, thanks. 199.21.163.10 (talk) 23:18, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for trying to keep Wikipedia updated (and consistent)! Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:43, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Jon Larsen (Danish musician), the drummer of Volbeat, currently has his own Wikipedia article, which suffers from various problems. It doesn't at all adhere to Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, with all kinds of subjective statements about Volbeat and their music. On top of that, almost all of the information is about Volbeat in general and not specific to Larsen himself. The article needs to be seriously trimmed down and/or rewritten, which I don't feel like doing myself since I'm not familiar with the subject. I have notified the main contributor to the Jon Larsen article (@Fernanda1alvesk:) about these issues but did not receive a reply and not much has happened since. By posting this here, I'm hoping that perhaps someone with an interest in Volbeat, reading this, would like to get involved. Lennart97 (talk) 13:24, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
