NY Times obit removed
[edit]I've removed the copy-paste of the NY Times obituary that was the majority of this article's content. I started to tag the article with Template:Obituary, then I realized it didn't just read like an obituary, it was an obituary. I don't have any particular interest in this guy, so I'm leaving the article with the copyvio content removed. It's available at the NY Times reference link if you want to read it. I'm not sure it's sufficient as is to establish notability, but I'm also not a fan of deleting articles and not sure it isn't sufficient, so I'm not proposing it. I did tag with rewrite, because at this point it needs help. XeroxKleenex (talk) 00:04, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
Why no mention of the Izod company?
[edit]A little strange that this article only talks about the guy's sports (football) career, and no mention is made of the Izod company (of the Lacoste crocodile shirts fame).
I found this article from a click on the (Wikipedia) Izod page, so was surprised that it didn't mention it; for a while, I thought it was an error (i.e., not the same guy).
