This article uses his surname (Nguyen) as if it was his first name (Viet). I looked at the bio on his official site and they use Viet when describing him (from https://vietnguyen.info/author-viet-thanh-nguyen): "Viet attended St. Patrick School and Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose." Am I missing something?

This encyclopedia article correctly refers to Nguyen by his surname, per standard usage. His personal website refers to him informally, by his first name, since it is written by him. Softlavender (talk) 00:58, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
DiamondsRuby, please stop adding multiple citations inside one <ref></ref>. You have already been notified on your usertalk not to do this, and how to merge citations under the same numbered ref using WP:CITEMERGE instead [1]. Please stop edit warring over this, and please be sure to provide an edit summary for every edit you make. Softlavender (talk) 00:43, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello everyone, there is a misunderstanding between me and Softlavender. I lost power so I couldn't edit in time. Once again I thank Softlavender for your advice and contributions. ^0^ DiamondsRuby (talk) 01:49, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It was not a misunderstanding between you and me. I notified you on your usertalk and you replied "oh, I got it, thank you" [2] and then 17 minutes later you went right ahead and combined two citations into one ref code in the article [3]. It's not a good idea to misrepresent things on Wikipedia, because all the edit histories and timestamps remain forever for anyone to check. Softlavender (talk) 03:30, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
