Fair use rationale for Image:VCSMark.jpg
[edit]Image:VCSMark.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 07:20, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Countryside coach tours originating from London
[edit]Could this be explained? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.140.57.113 (talk) 10:02, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Removed the reference. It seemed to have been straight pasted from a tfl page and once properly paraphrased dropped out. Ed1964 (talk) 05:39, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
Criticism
[edit]How can Wikipedia deal with the fact that Victoria Coach station (wrongly or rightly) is regarded as one of the worst places on earth (on a par with Chernoybl or Transnistria) Wikipedia can never deal with such things - with bus geeks especially most likely to remove any comments even if properly supported. Whether such people worship coach travel, they have to face the truth that in popular culture and sane travel guides Victoria Coach station is regarded as dreadful in its facilities, is in the wrong place (coaches from the North and East for example take an hour just to get from Golder's Green) , far from underground links and so on. It smells very peculiar also. Wikipedia must somehow tackle this - it is not what is called POV. If we do not include such criticism we might as well sanitise the article about Hitler by removing any adverse comments and say he was quite a nice man. Even modern Nazi's must recognise that many people have taken more than a slight dislike to Hitler over the years whether these modern Nazis like it or not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.29.92.172 (talk) 22:54, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
Comments don't belong but reports do - perhaps we can find some assessment in a reputable guidebook e.g. Lonely Planet or Time Out, or surveys on passenger satisfaction? If they do any, that is, I doubt the results will be flattering. If you find your bus before it departs without dying of heat exhaustion you're doing extremely well. - VCS has always been a grim experience, but comparing it to Chernobyl or the Nazis is a bit bonkers. People don't travel long distances on buses becasuse it's fun. --Ef80 (talk) 11:13, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
Have added some trip advisor comments in controversy section. For the record this is neither OR or personal opinion I have never been to Victoria Coach Station - probably fortunately. Ed1964 (talk) 05:41, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
