When clicking on the Vesuvius National Park website or Details of the Park's paths website, you are taken directly to a page which says Cannot find www.vesuviopark.it DNS Error - server cannot be found. Then it offers you a website in Krakow and one for Sorrento hotels, plus another 15 websites in various parts of the world, which have no connection to Vesuvius. Although the cumulative length of nine footpaths is 54 km, the most commonly used footpath to the summit is from the car/coach park 200 metres below the summit. It would be very useful and informative if there was a reference to the distance from the coach park to the end of the footpath at the summit. |
