Name seems to be very catchy, as there is one more firearm of name Вепрь (Vepr) - russian belt-fed rifled hunting carbine, which esentially РПК-47 (RPK-47) based. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.149.9.181 (talk) 04:28, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi everyone. Can somebody add info on whether the AK-style selector lever acts as a positive bolt lock when it's in the safety position? As far as I know, when it's on safety, the bolt can be pulled only half way back (until it strikes the front section of the selector lever), which cocks the hammer, lets you check the chamber and ejects a chambered round, but the bolt travel is not long enough to chamber a new round. I don't know if that's correct, or whether that info also applies to the Vepr rifle (since it has a different cocking handle), but please add that information if it is. Thanks for your attention.
