Valpelline, Aosta ValleyValpelline (commune) – ‘Aosta Valley' fails to distinguish between the commune, the river and the valley. [See the DAB page Valpelline.] All are within the Aosta Valley region of Italy. 'Commune' is to be preferred to 'comune' as this is a French-speaking area of the country. But I would be equally happy with 'village', 'hamlet' or 'settlement'. ----Relisted. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 16:08, 8 May 2014 (UTC) Ian Spackman (talk) 21:18, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose, per the convention listed at Wikipedia:NCGN#Italy: "Where possible, articles on places in Italy use placename. Where disambiguation is required, places in Italy are disambiguated using the "comma convention" by the larger of the region, province or municipality needed to identify it uniquely". Here, that means the given article title. The other Valpelline article on the dab page is also correctly disambiguated. Dohn joe (talk) 15:21, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
