[edit]Incorrect name!

[edit]The name is Vaikunta (the t is pronounced as the letter T and the 'a' after the t is soft). It's high time Sanskrit names are spelled as they ought to be pronounced!
Content needs to be changed
[edit]This article seems to be heavily influenced by ISKCON material. The terminology like demigods, Supreme Personality, Godhead, referring to Vishnu as Krishna points to ISKCON views and is not accepted by general population.
The content of this article needs to be changed to represent the views of general population and not just one sect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.207.133.115 (talk) 00:35, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
- That's a problem rife in all Vaishnava-related articles; neutrality is hard to achieve with all the ISKCON POV pushers. All the other Hindu deities suddenly become "demigods."
- And then there are the subjective translations of terms. For example, the concept of these divine realms as "planets" doesn't sound like a concept you'd find in ancient religious texts, but more like a modern interpretation of some Sanskrit word, probably by Prabhupada. I don't know enough Sanskrit to check what the original could be, though. But these definitely need to be redone from the basis of a broad consensus of religious scholars rather than clerics. [edit]This article does not make it clear that it is referring to a mythological concept; readers may be forgiven for thinking that Wikipedia is presenting some aspects of Hindu mythology as fact. Vanamonde (Talk) 17:37, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
