Merger
[edit]Support. In fact there is another article on the same subject at Upper Rhine which ought to be incorporated too. Strictly there is a distinction between the (Upper) Rhine Rift, which is the geological structure, and the Upper Rhine Plain, which is the geographical landscape on top of it. However that distinction can be brought out in the new merged article. If the merger grows too large, it can always be split out again, but perhaps more logically than the current 3 articles. For what it's worth, Upper Rhine Plain, Rhine Rift Valley and Rhine Rift are all authoritative English names (according to Dickinson or Elkins). I suggest we stick with Upper Rhine Plain as the overall title (since it embraces the others) and use Rhine Rift or Rift Valley as the sub-title of the geological section --Bermicourt (talk) 17:15, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
