Fair use rationale for Image:HartHawkslogo.jpg
Image:HartHawkslogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:46, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Alumni
There appears to be a number of seemingly not-notable alumni listed on this page. Other than self promotion is there any reason why they shouldn't be removed? --Dennbruce 16:35, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- If they aren't notable then they shouldn't be there, I'd be bold and remove them, especially if they are self promotional. Bmg916Speak 16:42, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Alumnus Paul Brand
Several edits have been made putting Paul M. Brand as an alumnus. The first addition was linked to the wrong person (Paul Brand) with the description that he is an "all-around awesome guy". The edit has since been changed to a redlinked Paul M. Brand with the description "former Academic Vice President". There is no article and no reference for this person. This section is for notable alumni, not just a random list of those who attended the university. Rather than enter into an edit war, I am posting this discussion on the talk page. Campus Media
I don't know enough about the topic to make corrections, but the Campus Media section is pretty much unintelligible. HMishkoff (talk) 14:50, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- Made some attempt to clean this up, but still needs work. It's difficult to separate the commentary from citable material. wumbus (talk) 01:12, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Promotional Tone
It seems like the majority of this entry uses language that you'd expect to find in the University's brochure. Phrases like "In the last decade, the University completed several ambitious building projects, including a new residence hall..." would appear to be direct pastes out of their promotional material or press releases from public relations. This page needs a fair amount of work to an unbiased tone and fixes to poor sentence structure caused by rampant run-on sentences and lists. wumbus (talk) 19:09, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Why no mention of this University's abysmal reputation as a school for stupid rich kids? A list of rankings would be helpful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.52.94.25 (talk) 23:31, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Student Group Presentation
The long form lists don't seem to suit this page, since very few of the organizations have much context past name alone. If someone is up to the challenge, it would probably be better to model the entire "Notable Organization" and "Student Group" section after the format found on Stanford University's page. Quality, and not brochure-level quality, etc. Greek organizations fit this bill too. Parts of the "Campus Media" section have overlap that needs to be resolved as well. wumbus (talk) 01:12, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Liberated Press
I've added a link to a site I'm creating that contains scans of the "UH News Liberated Press," which was the UH student newspaper back in the turbulent times of the late 1960's. I don't know if this really is significant enough to rate a link, so I won't complain (or be hurt... very much...) if someone removes it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HMishkoff (talk • contribs) 15:19, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
