[edit]As per this Twitter thread, different states report differently. Some don't report on the weekends, etc., so there are a lot of statistical artifacts which need to be (and shall be) normalized. The pandemic itself is a multi-faceted, dynamic phenomenon, so not to drag on South Dakota in particular here, it's just that it's a moving target! kencf0618 (talk) 09:59, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
