Removed the following content from unicorn (disambiguation):

On May 15, 2006 there was a small article in the Dutch newspaper Het Parool. The name of the operation of the Dutch troops going to Afghanistan was "Unicorn". The troops wanted to change the name, because they did not want to be seen as "sissies". According to a spokesman, unicorn is in Anglo-Saxon countries part of the gay culture. In the Dutch army, however, it is not a problem to be a gay soldier. In the Netherlands, it is forbidden to discriminate against people because of their sexual preference. Some people still discriminate.

Something might be done with it, but it doesn't belong on a disambiguation page. (I've copyedited it in case it gets used elsewhere.) jareha (comments) 06:10, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Added the IPU, an important aspect of unicorn searches in my view! Rcarlberg 00:48, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removing a bunch of entries

[edit]

Just for a more in-depth explanation than what I will be able to give in the edit summary, I am about to remove a number of entries from this disambiguation page because they are not articles whose name would be easily confused with the search term "Unicorn". As described at Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Partial_title_matches, just because an article has the name of the disambiguated word in it does not mean that it should be included on the disambiguation page. Only if the title of the article is legitimately confusable with the term "Unicorn" should it be included on this page. If anything that I remove isn't clear, please feel free to ask/let me know.
