Fair use rationale for Image:Undergroundernielogo.gif
[edit]Image:Undergroundernielogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Categories
[edit]As Underground Ernie is a television series, not a film, I am doubtful about the article being included in Category:Films set on the London Underground as it currently is. Possibly the parent category Category:Works set on the London Underground would be a better fit. Dunarc (talk) 20:31, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
- I have now moved it, as it seems more appropriate. Perhaps at some point a Television series set on the London Underground category might be created. Dunarc (talk) 23:29, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
Why no Indian characters and characters from new other countries?
[edit]Can you tell me why the international train characters from India and from new other countries and new other places were not introduced?
New York USA
[edit]There is an American convention to add a country name to city and town names. Consequently we get phrases such as 'London, England' and 'Paris, France'. It is British practice to omit the country unless there is an ambiguity. So we would say 'London' if we mean the capital of the UK. Other cities called London may be qualified as 'London in Ontario' (but never 'London in Ontario, Canada'). Similarly 'New York' is in USA. If we meant New York the suburb of Newcastle then we would qualify it unless it obvious from context.
One of the characters is called Brooklyn and is decked out with the Stars and Stripes. Brooklyn is from 'New York City'. British English language would never say, "New York City USA." This comment was added because a recent edit used American syntax. OrewaTel (talk) 22:30, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
