Requested move 3 October 2016

The result of the move request was: No consensus. This request is nearly a month of age with no consensus on the horizon. The renaming of an alternative-language film article is always a gray area on the English Wikipedia unless the rename is to an English title per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (films). There shouldn't be any difficulty for those who search for Oggarane, since that title redirects to this article. (non-admin closure) Paine u/c 16:12, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
Un Samayal Arayil → Oggarane (film) – It's more commonly known by it's Kannada name Oggarane. The Tamil and the Telugu versions were unsuccessful at the box office, while the Kannada version became a major success.[1][2][3] Telugu and Tamil received mixed reviews while the Kannada version received positive reviews.[4][5][6] So it should be renamed and move to Oggarane (film).

- Oppose - The box-office rule isn't convincing – sometimes dubbed versions make more money than the original ones. —Vensatry (talk) 06:38, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- Support: The current title goes against WP:TITLE. According to WP:NAMINGCRITERIA name should have Recognizability and Naturalness. So more recognizable name should be used and Naturalness says 'The title is one that readers are likely to look or search for and that editors would naturally use to link to the article from other articles'. Here it is not a dubbed film. Since it is a multilingual film, more recognizable film will be the one which succeed and people liked the film Oggarane so they will search for Oggarane (film). we should follow rules in WP:CRITERIA and it must be moved to Oggarane (film). - But how do you prove that the Kannada title has more 'recognizability' and 'naturalness'? The box office measure is irrelevant. Btw, please read WP:SOCK. —Vensatry (talk) 19:10, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- People will search for hit films and the probability of searching a flop film is less. Since it's hit film in Kannada, it has more 'recognizability' and 'naturalness'. Knaanu (talk) 19:41, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
