Ultimate Universe (2023) → Ultimate Universe – The 2000-2015 line of comics has always been "Ultimate Marvel", and "Ultimate universe" was just a fandom term used to make reference to it. Or, more precisely, to the in-universe fictional universe, which is a different one from the one where the mainstream comics take place. Fine for a redirect back then, but this 2023 project actually uses "Ultimate universe" as a name, so it should have priority Cambalachero (talk) 14:54, 12 December 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. Note:this move request is the same as the previous one, closed because nobody took part in it, but perhaps the recent release of Ultimate Spider-Man will allow more users to show up and take part in the discussion. Cambalachero (talk) 00:47, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

- I support this change. Marvel is billing this new line as the Ultimate Universe [1], which wasn't the case with the 2000-2015 line. Worm2k (talk) 04:11, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- I support this change per the same reasons. --Rtkat3 (talk) 20:02, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
Release order
[edit]Do we really need to list all and each comic in "release order"? The ongoing series are mostly self-contained and do not crossover with each other. There are some cameos and references, but not a situation "the story from USM #4 continues in UBP #5 and then in UXM #6" (those that were so frequent back in the 1990s and created the need of "reading order" guides).
And yes, there is an ongoing story arc involved here, but so far it's just Ultimate Invasion first, and the ongoings later. We don't know if we'll need a reading order in the future, and we don't right now. Cambalachero (talk) 18:55, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
Incomprehensible
[edit]The terminology that the article uses to describe the geopolitical configuration in this universe is really weird. Some of this might be due to strange and illogical expressions chosen by the Marvel scriptwriters themselves - and these should then be glossed as in-universe language usage or whatever - but I suspect that at least part of it is due to poor word choices made while writing the wiki article.
'The Northeastern United States make up the North American Union with the rest of the United States, Canada, Greenland, Mexico, and parts of Central America making up its subsidiaries.'
What is 'subsidiary' supposed to mean? This is a term for companies, not countries. Countries subordinated to other countries are called things like 'colonies' (if subordinated de jure) and 'satellites / client states' (if subordinated only de facto).
'Parts of South America make up the Society of South America complete with regional clubs in some parts of South America and fractional cultures in the other parts of South America and parts of Central America.'
What are the terms 'club' and 'fractional culture' supposed to mean? A 'culture' isn't a state-like entity. 'Fractional' can mean 'small' or 'divided' - which is it? 'Clubs' may refer to groupings like G-7 etc, but they are loose and not really stable political entities. What does 'complete with' mean? Are these 'clubs' and 'cultures' part of the 'Society of South America' or not?
'The European Coalition is set in France where its surrounding areas are regional governors and the other parts of Europe are Fiefdoms.'
An area can't be a governor, an area can only be ruled by a governor. What would these areas be - Spain, Germany, Great Britain? It's odd to say that a 'coalition' is 'set' somewhere. 'Centred', maybe? It also doesn't make sense for a 'coalition' to consist of a single country and its 'governors' - the word coalition implies a union between several at least formally equal partners. The configuration described here would be more like an 'empire', not a 'coalition'.
'The Upper and Lower Kingdoms are set in Egypt with regional dynasties in the surrounding countries and parts of Saudi Arabia and local temples in the rest of Africa, Madagascar, and the other parts of Saudi Arabia.'
A 'temple' isn't normally a state-like entity or a regional subdivision of one, so why are they mentioned here as if they were?
'The Eurasian Republic is set in a part of Russia with the rest of Eurasia having regional directors and local schools. The Rasputin family (consisting of Colossus, Magik, and Omega Red) rules this area.'
Again we have 'set'. What is 'regional directors' supposed to mean - governors appointed by the Eurasian Republic? That would mean that the rest of Eurasia is subordinated to the Eurasian Republic, but if so, that should be said clearly. 'Local schools' is even odder - again, a 'school' is not normally a term for a state-like entity or a regional subdivision of one. 62.73.72.3 (talk) 14:52, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
Comic Scored
[edit]@Fumetto002 has been adding copy to multiple comics Wiki pages for a website named Comicscored. The site has barely 200 followers on X, no other social media presence as best I can tell, and no legitimate reason for it to be used as a ranking source. It’s not named on the Comics Project as a source, for instance, and there’s no evidence this is anything other than a person advertising their own site.
I have removed the spam from this page - plus others. Peterspeterson (talk) 03:55, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
