From where comes the information about Shoen later also giving birth to a daughter? I have quickly checked some references about the life of Shoen, and can not find anything about her first having a son and later a daughter. The closest thing seems to be the novel "Jo-no-mai", which was made into a movie, that depicts her life and has it that Shoen first gave birth to a girl, who she had to immediately give up for adoption and who died in childhood, and Shoen some years later gave birth to a boy, who she kept and raised. Unless there is a creditable reference for the statement that Shoen first had a son and later a daughter, both of whom were fathered by her teacher Shonen, I think the statement should be deleted.Tksb (talk) 04:56, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
