Doubts Re: Article's Sourcing
[edit]I stumbled upon this article while trying to look for the sailor it was named for, and found it a bit strange that he was bundled in with a ship which had apparently been named for him. After some further digging, it seems that the actual content of the article is a verbatim copy of one of its sources, specifically the "navsource.org" link. Additionally, given that this website is a photo archive with the text copied existing only as captions, it gives no sources of its own save for another, even more dubious website. In short, this article's text seems to have both wound up here without verification, and also potentially have been plagiarized at some point along its journey. 73.161.76.180 (talk) 20:39, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
