Error in USS Waller history
[edit]After returning from her Westpac deployment in 1969, Waller was slated to go to Bayonne, NJ to perform reserve training duty, but instead was replaced in this role by USS Robert K. Huntington (DD-781), when an INSERV inspection found Waller to be in need of much work. Waller was decommissioned on July 15, 1969, with her first C.O., Vice Admiral (retired) L.H. "Jack" Frost as guest speaker. Richard Lamond (former YN2 USN Ship's Yeoman USS Waller DD-466 1968-1969) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.193.78.75 (talk) 13:30, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
