USS Taussig scrapped.

[edit]

The ship is gone. Can find no reference to ship as a museum anywhere. No photos, blog entries, websites. Nothing on Google Earth. Zip zilch nada. Somebody partially edited the Allen M. Sumner page explaining the ship was scrapped in 2013. The Taussig page and the Allen M. Sumner page should be updated to show this. I tried but was botted back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.64.16.84 (talk) 02:29, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We need a reliable source that says it was scrapped. I don't think we can say it must be scrapped because I couldn't find it on Google. As for original research, that can not be used as a source, I can see it on Google Earth tied to the pier up to November 15, 2013, but it was moved by Feb 7, 2014. It was said to be the most outboard ship in a nest of three, in 2009. And looking at historical images on google earth it had been moved around a few times, so without a source, we don't really know where it was moved to. I'm with you on the scrapping, we just need a source. --Dual Freq (talk) 21:44, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
