- Doing some copyediting. "The ship was destroyed by fire in 1865": Conway's and your infobox both give a date of Dec. 16, 1866. - Dank (push to talk) 17:08, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- Good catch, 1866 it is.
I'll copy this below when I get there:per http://www.history.navy.mil/branches/org11-2.htm, "To the best of our knowledge, all Online Library pictures are in the public domain", so the one image is appropriately licensed. - Dank (push to talk) 17:54, 30 October 2010 (UTC)- I'm not sure what "briefly captured" means; did they have to let them go? Also, I fiddled with the wording; you may or may not want to substitute "sortied and briefly captured". - Dank (push to talk) 00:38, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- They were quickly recaptured by the other Union ships.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 03:24, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Which text is from DANFS? - Dank (push to talk) 13:24, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Just reviewed the DANFS article, and none of the text seems to be directly from DANFS. I'd be in favor of removing the disclaimer about DANFS and treating it like any other source, but this isn't a GAN issue per se. - Dank (push to talk) 16:16, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- I spot-checked all of the online sources and Conway's. All accurate. - Dank (push to talk) 16:27, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
I did some copyediting. Everything checks out:
- It is reasonably well written.
