President JF Kennedy visit to San Diego 1963
[edit]Following the “Cuban Crisis in winter of 1962, Kennedy visited San Diego in spring/summer of 1963. He went to sea for a day with US Navy with a carrier flotilla. The Cunningham was the lead & communication ship.
I was a quartermaster on the Cunningham, and got to spend most of the time on the bridge, on the helm, and site navigation in and out of port.
