Fair use rationale for Image:UEFA Under-21.gif
[edit]Image:UEFA Under-21.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Name change
[edit]I think the article could do with a name change. At the moment it's UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship, and I feel it should be UEFA Under-21 Championship as it states on the logo and webpage. The option between "under21", "under 21" or "under-21" is irrelevant - it should be under-21 to be grammatically correct within the phrase. The hyphen is used commonly on the UEFA website, and I think the "UNDER21" as it appears on the logo must only be for stylisation.
I feel the current name is the equivalent of the "FIFA World Cup" being named "FIFA International Football World Cup". By this I mean that the words "European" and "football" in UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship are represented by the E and F in UEFA. I would also like all the articles in this category to be named similarly. Any suggestions for/against? slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 20:16, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Slovakia
[edit]Per Talk:UEFA European Championship/Archive 3#National teams in the summary table / conclusion voting, Slovakia did not inherit anything. As I said on my talk page, those uefa.com news reports (like this) are usually written by local correspondents directly related to the country in the article, so this does not represent the official UEFA's view of the matter. Not to mention there are also inconsistencies, like that same uefa.com site claiming that Slovakia made their 2nd U21 appearance in 2017 (and not 8th), so... not to mention that in that comprehensive records table, there cannot be nine different teams reaching the quarter-finals (or 5 teams reaching the semi-finals) in a single edition as this is literally "fuck logic" editing. Only the Czech Republic inherited records, just like only Serbia inherited Yugoslav records, everything else is POV-pushing by those one or two pro-Slovak editors, probably actually the same people editing while being logged-out.
