Table
[edit]The table is very good but the colour scheme needs work. A more graded scheme would be better at the moment a beaten semi-finalist is more prominent that a winner and there is little visual difference between a losing finalist and a losing quarter finalist. --Gramscis cousinTalkStalk 09:53, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
—— I agree. Attempted something, not really happy with the result but better than previous effort in my view because of the afore mentioned problems. --Jinxo (talk) 17:38, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
Expansion
[edit]This article needs a lot of work done to it, but has the scope to be a useful resource. The immediate need is to expand to all the sides who have competed in the Champions League proper since its inception. Teams such as Weder Bremen, who have competed 7 times, are not in it. After that, we could then do with looking at the pre-Champions League tournament as well. I'm happy to contribute if and when I have time, but would urge people to try and help expand this page...--Pretty Green (talk) 09:55, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
References
[edit]Just a suggestion for references for this page. Wouldn't be better to use these pages as a reference in column header for each individual season: season 92-93, season 99-00 or season 09-10. It would reduce number of required references to less than 30 instead of 140 or so that are required now for every individual team. Nightfall87 (talk) 13:45, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Because the references I started providing gave a season-by-season account of how far teams got in UEFA competition. That said, since UEFA appears to have removed the historical data from team profile pages in a recent update, we may have to change to your suggestion after all; I would rather give them a chance to restore the historical data first though. – PeeJay 14:26, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Damn, wasn't even aware they have deleted them. They were there just a few days ago. Ok, let's give them some time to restore them before changing anything. Nightfall87 (talk) 14:31, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was really surprised. I know UEFA have been updating the layout of their site, including changing URLs and employing people to update links to their site from here on Wikipedia, but I didn't expect they would delete content like that. – PeeJay 17:49, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- Don't know if you saw it, but they already restored that data on new URLs. I've added dozen or so references to the page, will continue doing that later on. Nightfall87 (talk) 18:39, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

Ideas for future
[edit]With each season, tables get wider and wider. Side menu is already covered when scrolling (on 27" screen and 2k resolution). Any ideas how to handle this, for example, in 5 years? :) Red Devil (talk) 19:49, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm willing to create pre-Champions League table, as is in UEFA Europa League clubs performance comparison article, but that's 36 seasons (columns) compared to present 32.. Red Devil (talk) 20:02, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
