"US Bank" vs. "U.S. Bank"

[edit]

The corporation spells its name with periods: "U.S. Bank".[1] Other buildings named for the company use periods: U.S. Bank Tower (Los Angeles), U.S. Bank Tower (Sacramento), U.S. Bank Center (Milwaukee). OTOH, some databases of skyscrapers spell it "US Bank".[2][3] However I assume that that's just sloppiness - they're more concerned with height, etc, than with punctuation. I don't think is this controversial, so I'll go ahead with a move. But if anyone has other thoughts please share them. We can move it back if that's appropriate.   Will Beback  talk  06:04, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
