POV

[edit]

I am monitoring this page to attempt to maintain a neutral point of view over the course of the series, and afterward. Realkyhick 01:52, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am doing the same. Crunch 22:31, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I revereted some anonymous edits today in the section dealing with criticism of the role of the chaplain because they used phrases includuing "some bigoted critics." I think it's important to show both sides of the controversy, but it should be done in Neutral point of view manner. Crunch 10:52, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I finally got tired of the foolishness and put up vandalism protection for a while. Most of this is kids form other schools — sorta reminds me of kids putting graffiti on the city water tower back in my day. (Gosh, that made me sound so old.) Realkyhick 21:03, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh

[edit]

The page looks so messy now. It's kind of embarassing that it looked better as a stub.--andrew 03:13, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

scholorships

this claims that only 1 senior got a scholarship, max lerner, but according to rivals.com Cornelius Williams got a scholorship to troy and is on the team now. troy is a 1A in the sunbelt conference. he was also offered to UAB and La.-Monroe he also enjoed to further more enducle himself in the UNC confrence for troubled youth — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.43.196.91 (talk)

Could someone please translate the last part of that sentence into English? (I italicized it for emphasis.) Realkyhick 17:02, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A few got scholarships and decided that they would rather go to Alabama/Auburn as a walk on than go to another school and play.

Can someone clean this article up. I m new 2 Wikipedia and dont know how 2 do it. But I know that most of the info is out-dated.

First of all, sign up for a Wikipedia user name. It gives you more credibility when you make changes. Second, when you do make changes (and it isn't very hard — I'm living proof), make sure you have some sort of source to back it up, like an article on the web or in a newspaper. You can't just post that Ross is seeing someone else because you heard it in the hallway at Hoover High — besides, I'd ask Ross myself the next time I cover one of his games for The Birmingham News. :-) You need to have some sort of proof that we can verify, preferably with a link to a web page. The only reason I make a big deal over this is that we have a lot of people who get on here and just act stupid, like kids from rival schools (Vestavia and Spain Park come to mind) who will change stuff to attack people in the show, so if you can show that your changes reflect something that others can verify, you'll be good to go. If you need help, go to my talk page and leave a message on there. Realkyhick 22:07, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

title?

[edit]

Could someone please explain the meaining of the title? I dont get it.

Two A Days is where a football team practices twice a day once in the morning the other in the evening. It is widely known in high school football.Jayorz12 09:50, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok , I watch football nearly every week, and ive never heard of that, but i guess since i haven't played thats why i didnt hear of it. crd721

It's usually just high school football.Jayorz12 06:57, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reference

[edit]

I added a reference to prove Max went to Furman University. The other day some one put that he went to Oviedo University. Despite the fact that Max said on television that he was going to Furman. I don't know if it was just vandalism or just not knowing. So I figure I would add a reference to Max's FU athletics profile.

Max did end up going to Furman. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.231.184.240 (talk) 14:58, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ross WIlson

[edit]

I was jsut watching the season 1 finale and it said that "Ross and Elliott are still together,"

Sorry If I offended anyone, I just never heard of a girl named Elliott.

Thanks, lmao, Real. I wonder what she looks like. I miss Alex and Kirsten already. He's stupid for breaking up with her. Do you guys go to school or went to school with any of these?74.195.3.199 18:38, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry I took so long to reply to your comment. No, I don't go to school with Ross — I'm almost three times his age. I used to be the managing editor for the weekly newspaper in Hoover, and was heavily involved in news coverage of the series, the school and its teams; Ross' mother also was one of a panel of four people who tried to predict high school and college football results for the paper. (As managing editor, I wrote an editorial against Two-a-Days, saying that it would be far more determental to their private lives and the enjoyment of their teenage years than any fame the show might give them.) I've since left that paper and moved on to a position with The Birmingham News, where I cover high school sports and see Hoover teams frequently. In fact, I attended a Bucs baseball game earlier tonight and saw Ross in action (they lost to Oak Mountain in extra innings.) And I haven't asked Ross about his personal life. Realkyhick 05:38, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She's really pretty. you've seen her on camera before but they never point out that she's Ross's girlfriend. She was in the first episode of season 2 talking to Britney (when britney talk about her plans of following Mark to college) and many other times, but that's the one that stands out. I am a year behind Alex Binder, and in the same grade with Ross at Hoover. Season one didn't show that Alex started dating a freshman after breaking up with Kristen. They're still together.

MTV filming at Hoover youth football

[edit]

Believe it or not, the MTV guys were filming over at Hoover youth football last Saturday (Oct 21). A Hoover Gazette (the newspaper where I'm I was managing editor) reporter got photos. Realkyhick 04:50, 24 October 2006 (UTC) (Note change in my job status. Realkyhick 05:39, 7 April 2007 (UTC))[reply]

They are filming for the second season.Jayorz12 04:55, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm aware of that. My newspaper helped break the story of the second season. My point was that they were filming youth leagues, not just the varsity team.Realkyhick 02:41, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I just wished they pulled a real world, road rules/yo momma and went to different cities

I thought they might do that, too. But it turns out the ratings are good, Rush Propst is a hoot to watch, the guys and girls in the show are apprently more than hot enough to attract teenage viewers. So I guess it falls under the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" clause. Besides, MTV had an option in their original contract for two more years, at it was probably easier and cheaper to exercise that option than to find another suitable school, to which they would probably have to pay much more than the $20,000 or so they are paying the Hoover City Schools. Realkyhick 00:38, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are going to different cities. Right now they're prepping to film in Louisville, KY, but it's basketball. http://www.al.com/news/birminghamnews/index.ssf?/base/news/1167387583276300.xml&coll=2 (at the bottom of the article)

I'd love to see the basketball version filmed in "E-town." It would be super, though E-town isn't the national power in hoops that Hoover is in football. (I did an internship during college at the newspaper in Elizabethtown. I like the area a lot.) Realkyhick 05:04, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They just canceled filming at ETown. They did it for a couple of weeks, but by the time they got there in the first place after the board approved it, 2/3 of the schedule was already complete. They basically left it open to "maybe next year".

MTV has been filming many of the various clubs at Hoover High doing their own "Two-a-Days" type dramas. They are supposed to be on mtv overdrive sometime during the season. They filmed our intramural dodgeball team the other night! look for that :)

Minor Characters

[edit]

Timothy Atkinson was not on the show so stop adding him to the Minor Characters list. Jayorz12 11:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Second season characters?

[edit]

How do we know who the main characters for the second season are yet? Cite sources, please. Realkyhick 03:46, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

iTS UPDATED. 74.195.3.199 18:37, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now it's really updated, thanks to The Birmingham News. Realkyhick 05:47, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The second season characters that are added are the main characters for the season, but of course (i attend Hoover) they filmed a bunch of stuff. If they add some of the segments that they filmed other minor characters will be: Shannon Blair, Elliot Mayson, Kasey Reamer, etc. many more people.

Third Season?

[edit]

Any talk about a third season? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ajw18 (talkcontribs) 23:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Nothing yet, though the production company can exercise an option for a third season merely by notifying the Hoover Board of Education and paying the previously arranged fee ($25,000, I think). This was part of the original contract. Realkyhick 05:31, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I found Two A Days on Wikipedia under the search, and both turn out to be almost exactly the same. I think Two A Days should be re-directed to this article.conman33(. . .talk) 09:13, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Turned down scholarships from division II and III schools

[edit]

The article states that one of the players turned down scholarships from several division II and III schools. This is partially false, as there are no scholarships in D-III. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.254.202.46 (talk) 07:25, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
