[edit]This page is entitled "Twitter usage," but it appears to be limited to what most would call the "positive" aspects of Twitter. Even the opening paragraph says these are "notable" uses. However, the article on Twitter itself cites at least one study that says 40% of Twitter posts are "pointless babble," with another 4% being spam. Either the title of this page should be changed to "Beneficial Twitter usage," or the content should reflect that at least some Twitter usage is negative or at least inconsequential. — Michael J 20:29, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
- Absolutely! In fact, I'd go as far as saying that very few Twitter activities are likely to carry broader 'notability' as it is such a self-serving medium. There needs to be a proper introduction and the whole article needs a revamp - if there isn't a 'Twitter in the Media' article then that could be set up to cover external reporting of the website and this page would be unecessary. Just when you thought the free promotion of social media companies would get worse this is created, a Twitter Controversies article isn't enough. If this isn't deleted, a Criticism of Twitter should be created. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.220.230.237 (User talk:AntiSocialMediaCorporations) 14:34, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

No mention of #MeToo?
[edit]I'd say #MeToo was one of the most notable events to originate from Twitter. RPI2026F1 (talk) 14:24, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
