edited for neutrality / relevance

[edit]

I deleted a bunch of market-y language and things that did not meet notability (Not convinced we need the history of their product that is really thinly veiled praise of said product). Also deleted things that needed a citation as of 2014 (number of customers they have) but hadn't been updated and I couldn't find. Also deleted the copious positive press articles linked here as 'citations,' leaving what was necessary 141.161.133.101 (talk) 21:39, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality and advertising type language problem continues 4 years later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.165.218.1 (talk) 16:26, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking confirmation of a connection to David Silver (roboticist)

[edit]

An article that was recently created may be relevant to this entry, but more information is needed to confirm that the David Silver who co-founded this company is the same one discussed in that entry. If anyone can give further input on this, please do so. Schol-R-LEA (talk) 14:05, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting Edits - Company Rebrand/Name Change - COI Request

[edit]

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

Hi, fellow editors! I work for Tungsten Automation, formerly Kofax. I wanted to disclose my conflict of interest here. I suggest a page move and/or some content updates to reflect a company name change/rebrand.

1) Kofax changed its name to Tungsten Automation and announced on January 16, 2024[1].

2) Sidebar update: # of employees cited at "2,200"[2] from the same press release.

3) Logo change: with the company name change to Tungsten Automation, there is now a Tungsten Automation logo. There is an SVG available if someone knows how to change out the old "Kofax" SVG logo and upload as non-free content: https://www.tungstenautomation.com/-/media/images/global/logos/tungstenautomationlogoblue.svg.

4) Sidebar change: The website now www.tungstenautomation.com

5) References to "Kofax" in other sections (Intro, History section, Products paragraph, Operations paragraph) could simply be replaced with "Tungsten Automation".
Suggestions:
Intro: "Kofax Inc." --> "Tungsten Automation Corporation"
History:
a) "Kofax was founded in 1985 as Kofax Image Products by engineers Dean.." --> "Tungsten Automation was founded in 1985 as Kofax Image Products by engineers Dean"

b) Add a line, "In January 2024, Kofax changed its brand name to Tungsten Automation.[3]"

Products: section mention of "Kofax" --> "Tungsten Automation" and the line "As of 2020, it had approximately 2,000 employees in 30 countries around the world.[1]" could be changed to "As of 2024, it had approximately 2,200 employees in 32 countries around the world.[4]" (same press release, about section at the bottom)

6) Under Products section, the product ReadSoft Online is now named AP Essentials (Finding it hard to cite a source to prove to you, but Googling "readsoft online" brings up a sponsored ad about the name change, "tungstenautomation.com - Tungsten AP Essentials(tm) - Formerly Readsoft Online(tm)") and going to any Readsoft Online product page brings a user to AP Essentials.

  • Why it should be changed:

Kofax is no longer the company name. According to the press release and website information/FAQ, the company did not go through a merger or acquisition; the name simply changed to Tungsten Automation as a pure company rebrand.
"The decision to adopt a new name reflects the growth of our company and the need for a brand that more closely aligns with our present identity, capabilities, and aspirations. From our roots as a leading document capture company, we've evolved to a prominent global leader in Intelligent Automation."

Hello TAEric! I've made most of the requested edits provided above. As for the logo and the building picture, you will need to upload them yourself to Wikimedia commons. Here's the link you can use :
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard
Once you have both uploaded, please share the links with me, and I'll set them live. Be careful to read all of the Wikimedia Commons agreement information and be sure you agree to it before finishing the process. I'll keep an eye out for the info here, or you can contact me on my talk page. Thanks! LaesaMajestas (talk) 18:40, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Kofax Logo from the infobox

[edit]

Hey friends,

I can't seem to figure out how to remove the Kofax logo from the infobox. Can anyone help me out? LaesaMajestas (talk) 18:45, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@LaesaMajestas:, {{Infobox company}} pull some values from Wikidata if the values aren't specified on English Wikipedia. As there is no new logo available for Wikipedia to use yet, just leave it with the old logo until TAEric provides a new one (they did say they wanted to "upload as non-free content"; the company needs to make a free version available if they want it on Wikipedia).
