Opening date of full Tuen Ma Line

[edit]

@Peckerwoods: You and various IP addresses have been persistently changing the Q3 2021 projected opening date to Q1 2021. The latest update presented to the Legislative Council, which I cited, indicates a projected Q3 opening date. This seems to be a more reliable source than "Rail Journal", which may well have taken erroneous data from Wikipedia, as you (or the various IP addresses which may or may not be you) had changed the date across numerous articles including Sha Tin to Central Link, Sung Wong Toi Station, Kai Tak Station, To Kwa Wan Station, and so on. Can you please explain why you are pushing the Q1 date so hard when the latest official sources indicate otherwise? Citobun (talk) 04:45, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The newly confirmed opening date is from jacob kam, the ceo of mtr corporation, he was interviewed by railjournal a few days ago. I believe the news coming from the ceo is as reliable as the one coming from legco. Peckerwoods (talk) 09:54, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But the Q1 date in the Rail Journal piece is not a quotation. We don't know that the information comes from Kam. Citobun (talk) 10:38, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Proposition of Route section

[edit]

Because the West Rail line is part of The Tuen Ma line and contains a very comprehensive route section, something the other lines don't have, I believe it also should be added to The Tuen Ma line firstly, then the other lines gradually. Davidng913 (talk) 15:48, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Tuen Ma Line, a Commuter Rail or Metro

[edit]

I had saw that in the article that Tuen Ma Line is classified as a commuter rail line however in my belief it feels more of a metro line given it does not share other train services, treated like a metro no different to other MTR Lines and runs high frequency. After all Chinese city express suburban metro lines like Guangzhou Metro Line 18 is classified as a rapid transit line even though it runs at very high speed like regional rail and has large station spacing so I don't see why Tuen Ma Line considered is anything different. 2406:3400:31F:AFD0:937:8679:1745:4F38 (talk) 05:21, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
