Discussion
[edit]I think he is the most talented artist at Johnny's. He is born to be an artist. Good acting skill, beautiful voice, gifted artist with fashion sense.
Out of all of his close peers (fellow JJs), I think he is definately one of the more serious about what he does. While he may not have the voice some of the others do (not just anyone will appreciate it) I think the love he has for what he does really comes out in his solo work. Seeing him on stage in his solo concerts, you can tell it's not about selling his looks or about fan service (in the sleezy sense), it's about the music he's making, even the other musicians on stage, and about the audience enjoying that performance, which is something that I think is kind of lost in his work as a member of the KK duo, which like other JJs groups is seemingly all about looks and flash. It was really something to see him interacting with the other musicians as equals, where normally those providing backup music are not usually recognized much unless they are part of the group themselves. So to see people who have nothing to do with him directly as an artist, being invited by him to be more actively a part of the stage show really spoke of his respect for other musicians.
Also, I don't know how the music industry feels about the kansai dialects, but I respect that when he sings solo, he isn't afraid to use his native dialect, which I understand is frowned upon by speakers of "Tokyo" Japanese.
I no longer really follow him with the KK, but I will definately continue to follow his solo career, so long as his focus remains on art and not on sleeze. One of the few JJs artists I can still stand to watch.
However, he will not be for everyone. JJs flamboyant costumes (think Elvis gone wrong) still show up, and Tsuyoshi's... "unique" ... vocal style will either catch your interest, or you will hate it. It's one of those things people either love or can't stand.

New project name
[edit]Would someone want to make note that he changed the name of his solo project again? It's now known as 244 ENDLI-x and the latest album and single (I AND Ai & Kurikaesu Haru) are both released under this name. I'd do it, but I'm not even sure how to format it.
