First Ascent/Descent
[edit]"This canyon was first climbed down/walked/swum by Pascale Lapoule, Laurent Broisin and Pascal Colas on 19–21 September 1989."
This sentence was confusing to me; I wasn't sure whether it meant the records were made by the separate people respectively, etc. I looked at the cited source and it doesn't mention swimming at all. Additionally, while looking for further information, I found this page crediting them with the "Erstbegehung" which Google translates as 'first ascent', though I can't be sure this isn't just an approximal term covering all first climbs.
I've made changes which hopefully better reflect the source, although I'd appreciate input from anyone better acquainted with climbing, the German language, or anything else related. HerrWaus (talk) 20:56, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
