  • Two days later, Tropical Depression Eight developed from the wave. - Which ocean?
  • Gradual development took place over the following several days as widespread, scattered convection consolidated around a developing area of low pressure. - "As" is ambiguous; does it mean "while" or "because"?
  • Several hours after being declared a tropical depression, the system further strengthened into a tropical storm, at which time it was named Patricia. - Lots of redundancies; try Several hours later, the system further strengthened into a tropical storm and was named Patricia.
  • By the late morning of October 12, the overall cloud cover of the storm had increased but the center became less defined, - Increased in terms of coverage?
  • The possibile intensification did not take place, however. - Grammar.
  • Early on October 14, Patricia degenerated into a remnant-low pressure area - Why the hyphen?
  • Later that day, convective developed ceased to occur as the storm neared the south tip of Baja California Sur. - Eh?
  • Officials in the threatened region began preparing 159 shelters and closed schools on October 12 - This makes it sound as if they prepared the closed schools.
  • Since the impact section relies primarily or solely on Spanish sources, I think it would be a good idea to contact somebody who speaks at least es-3 to verify the information. I'm not convinced Google translate is all that reliable. (Edit: Alas, the source sited for the snowfall info doesn't back it up at all.)

On-hold for now. –Juliancolton | Talk 21:11, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Made changes per above comments. Thanks for the review JC. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 20:43, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looks mostly better now. I'm looking for somebody to verify all the Spanish → English translations, and once that's done it's passed. –Juliancolton | Talk 02:26, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Meh. I'll assume good faith and pass it, but I would still like this to be looked into. –Juliancolton | Talk 21:18, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
